The Environmental Flows Information System for Texas (EFIS) is a web-based portal which comprises a data model and comprehensive repository of relevant environmental flows data pertaining to four disciplines: hydrology, biology, water quality, and geomorphology, plus tools & guidance.
It includes information of five types: observations data, documents, geographic (GIS) data, tables, and tools. All are incorporated and intended to support the efforts of the regulators and stakeholders in the determination of environmental flow needs for the bays and basins of Texas. These information types are stored using the CUAHSI Observations Data Model, the Texas Digital Repository, ArcGIS shapefiles and feature classes, flat files, and web hyperlinks.
